Between the years 1998 and 2003, I toyed with the ever so slippery and nimble subject of ‘identity’. Each of these characters depicted in the following polaroid photographs were given a story, name and context. Many of them are caricatures, exaggerations or archetypes linked with my own identity. With exception to supporting characters and 5 of the 7 basketball players, all photos utilized my physical being.
